You probably have a place where you love to go. It might be your comfy home or the park where you walk your dog. There are places you’ve visited that you think about going back–a thrilling ride at an amusement park or a hot air balloon trip over rolling green hills. Or maybe it’s a peaceful garden with butterflies and birds flittering in the dappled sunlight.
Your special place could be an ocean beach with white sand and rolling waves–where the sun shines and the shoreline ends in craggy cliffs. Or it could be a clear mountain lake surrounded by majestic firs and green pine trees against a clear blue sky.
Sometimes our memories include an outing or special occasion with family or friends, and we remember not only the place and the people, but also the feeling of joy when we were there.
I like to think of places I’ve been that hold wonderful memories for me–the details roll past as in a movie. Even if I can’t get there again, I have a vivid memory of those terrific places.
