The Flying Horse Caper

The Flying Horse Caper

My second and new book is out! You can find The Flying Horse Caper on Amazon and also on Barnes and Noble.

This mystery is set near beautiful Lake Tahoe in the Sierra Nevada Mountains on a horseback riding ranch. You’ll love meeting Dr. Kat Lamar, an equine veterinarian with an unbridled tendency to go forth into the midst of danger to save her family’s ranch. It’s a good thing Cade Crocker is there to steer her to safety and unravel the tangled webs of deceitful villains honing in on the Flying Horse Ranch.

My Next Book!

It’s a good feeling to finish my book edit changes. Thanks to my editor for immeasurable help in making this book. I have a working title, The Flying Horse Caper.<img

Writing is tough when you’re sick

Being ill isn’t fun, but the worst is losing track of your writing goals. Now that I feel better, I’m wondering where all that time went. Maybe it’s better that I didn’t do too much writing with a stuffy head cold–that way, I don’t have to untangle the confusing musings and plopped plot turns. Looking back, I realize just how sick I was. Onward and upward.

The Seaside Painting Caper anniversary

It’s almost the one-year anniversary of my first published book. I’m so thankful and amazed at this great feat. I’m diligently writing my second novel.

The Seaside Painting Caper is a “breezy debut novel” as noted in the Kirkus Reviews. My character, Trina, takes a much-needed break from her museum job and travels to Catamara, a beach resort town, to work in the family’s Hidden Treasure Gift Shop.

Trina is intrigued with a missing 100 year old painting–a dark angel painting–and twin to its magnificent white angel painting hanging in Catamara’s oldest church. Her sleuthing efforts are joined by Daniel, who helps her search through the twisting rooms and stairways of the church.

She soon finds herself embroiled in an art forgery scheme and enlists her friends to help draw out the culprits.

You’ll enjoy my sunny beach story amid summer’s white sand, blue skies, surfing waves and tide-pool adventures as Trina reacquaints herself with God’s abiding love and direction in her life.

Read for pleasure.

May’s extra week

This week seems like we have an extra week in the month of May. So used to having Memorial Day weekend followed closely by June 1, that it’s been a treat this year to relax before jumping into June. Great time to catch up on stuff I’ve been putting off.

Spring is in the air

Springtime blossoms, gorgeous flowers, newly-planted gardens, blue skies, and warm weather are great. This is one of my favorite times of the year, but with allergies and a virus, I’m enjoying the beauty from my window.
